International Women's Day

International Women's Day

International women’s day is, as its name suggests, an international day of recognition for women all over the world.

Here at BBB HQ, we strive day in and day out to provide a place of solidarity and support for everyone who comes through our doors.

But today, we would like to take a moment to pass our support to women everywhere. We See YOU.

It is an important part of our fundamentals to include moments like this, to share our love for marginalised groups of people and within the title of women, there are so many more categories.

With this in mind, please take a moment to recognise some examples of marginalised women in our scene and the world.

Women on low incomes

Older women

LGBTIQ+ women & non binary people

Women of none white skin types

Women of Indigenous culture

Women with disabilities, physical and mental

Young women

Women in open/ poly/ ethically non monogamous etc relationships

CALD Women (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse)

Women in single parent/ carer roles

Sex Workers/ Women in the sex industry

Adding a small note here for a very specific marginalised group Trans POC (especially if they work in the sex industry), who are some of the most under supported, highly vilified.

We see YOU

We stand with YOU

We support YOU

From the whole BBB & BBB AfterParty team.
